The pretest was challenging. I had to remember how to transpose, what symbols mean, and how to count rythms. I had no idea on how to figure out the minor scales. I couldn't even come up with a way to make up a minor scale let alone do a specific scale. I know for a fact that is something I need to learn and become good at. I believe I got most of the symbols and articulation questions right, except for a few of them that I always seem to get mixed up. I can't wait to give it another shot when we take it again and see what I've learned!

My sophomore year in highschool I have thought a lot about what I want to advance in during 2016 to 2017. My goals for this year is to memorize most of the major scales and learn how to figure out what my notes are for minor scales. I also want to slowly learn new notes that are one higher or lower than what I am used to playing. My last goal is to look at my key signature and register it with the scale it is in. My hope for this year is to be able to obtain all of my goals and be even more accomplished in the way I play than last year. |
